The Bat Association of MSU was lucky to be able to participate in the Earth Day Festival “The Big Green Gig” this weekend! We built 11 maternal bat boxes to give away, all out of reclaimed pallet wood, and were able to raise 90 dollars in donations to put up bat houses around Lansing. Thanks so much to all the organizers and other groups who made this event possible. We had a great time engaging the public about the importance of our native bat populations.

We try to follow as closely as possible to Bat Conservation International’s guidelines for all our designs with some modifications depending on what material we have access to. Here’s the link with 3 different designs, a single chamber, a 4 chamber box and a rocket box. Best of luck!!!
