Join the Bat Association of MSU for a summer bat walk following Zoo Nights at Potter Park Zoo (ages 21+). We will be meeting just outside the zoo entrance at 9pm just after the Zoo Nights event for a short presentation on our native bat species.With the help of the wildlife acoustics Echo Meter Touch devices, we will be able to listen to and identify what species of bats are foraging based on their echo location calls. Download the Echo Meter app by Wildlife Acoustics for the chance to save bat recordings onto your phone.
After the event we will be raffling off a bat box, and a number of other small gifts. We look forward to seeing you all there!
