On March 8th, the Bat Association of MSU board voted to move the organizations focus from working on campus to working within the broader community. Many of us have been doing bat conservation work in Ingham County and the surrounding area for a number of years and we are excited to open our membership to anyone in the area interested in bats and conservation. Our mission remains centered on one-health, so educating the public on bats and safety remains a priority. We look forward to holding bat walks, building and placing bat boxes, and answering questions about bats in homes in the years to come. If anyone is interested in joining our board, please reach out to us at [email protected].
