Numerous times throughout the fall semester, the Bat Association of MSU (BAM) collaborated with the MSU Zoological Student Association and led evening Bat Walks with MSU students and the Lansing community. The tour began with a short presentation detailing Michigan’s nine bat species, and moved to the species inhabiting frequented locations on MSU campus: the Beaumont Towers and the W.J. Beal Botanical Gardens. The bat walks are only one of many community outreach events that the BAM puts on, including removal of bats from households in Lansing.
